The author proceeds from Small Shops, Big Hearts are being used for helping the homeless and elderly in need in our community. I bumped into a homeless old man lagging all his belongings in Festival Walk mall this afternoon. I shared with him a small amount from our book proceeds as a gesture, but somehow I know money can't solve his problem. He wanted to rest in the air conditioning, and wandering aimlessly around every day is his past-time. I feel tremendously sad today.
